Privacy Policy for Albumer

Effective date: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Albumer (operated by DOR Industries, "Albumer", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Albumer mobile app for Android and iOS (the "App") and the albumer.com website. If you have any questions, contact us at albumerapp2@gmail.com.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash), or the identity information you authorize when signing in with Apple or Google.

Your content. The photos, videos, journal entries, comments, album names, and other content you choose to upload. Your content is stored on our servers so you can access it from any of your devices and share it with the people you choose. We access it only to provide the service; we do not use your photos for advertising and we do not sell them.

Camera and photo library. The App can use your device camera and photo library only when you choose to take or upload a photo or video. We only receive the specific items you select or capture.

Contacts (optional). If you grant contacts permission, the App reads names, phone numbers, and email addresses from your device address book solely so you can pick people to invite or to send a photo puzzle to. Your contact list is used on your device to show the picker; only the contact details of a person you select are used to deliver that invitation.

Purchases. If you buy a subscription or a print order, payment is processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor. We receive order and subscription status but never your full card number.

Device and usage data. We collect basic technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, and crash and error reports so we can keep the service reliable and secure. The website uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic.

Support messages. If you contact us, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the service (store, organize, and share your albums and photos with the people you choose); deliver invitations, notifications, and photo puzzles you send; process purchases; provide customer support; keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and fix crashes and improve the App. Free accounts see banner ads served by Google AdMob; a premium subscription removes them. We do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Information

Your content is shared only with the people you share it with (album members and people you invite). We also use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf to run the service: cloud database and photo storage (Supabase), crash reporting (Sentry), push notification delivery (Expo), transactional email delivery (Resend), advertising (Google AdMob), and app store payment processing (Apple and Google). These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Advertising

The free version of the App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use basic device information and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. Ads are non-personalized unless you choose to allow personalized ads; on iOS this follows your App Tracking Transparency choice. Your photos, albums, and other content are never used for advertising. You can read about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Upgrading to a premium subscription removes ads entirely.

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Photos and account data are stored on secured cloud infrastructure with access controls. Content in Secret Albums is additionally protected with end-to-end encryption keys derived from your PIN, and screenshots of Secret Albums are blocked or flagged in the App.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your profile, albums, photos, videos, journal entries, comments, and shares:

In the App: go to Profile, then Delete My Account.
On the web: visit https://albumer.com/account-deletion.
By email: write to albumerapp2@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before being purged.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights in the App or by emailing albumerapp2@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Albumer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will promptly remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email.
